Cooking Tips for Beginner Chefs. Improve your kitchen Skills.
Cooking can be a daunting thing for some people, a total nightmare. But it doesn’t have to be, when I first started cooking I was a mess and nothing ever came out right, but after a few classes in high school and PRACTICE. Cooking became my favorite thing and i’m sure after I share these helpful beginner friendly cooking tips you’ll like it Just as much!
Cooking Tip #1
Start with simple recipes:
Begin with basic recipes that have fewer ingredients and simpler cooking techniques. This will help you build confidence and develop essential cooking skills. I started off cooking pastas because ultimately I could make anything into a sauce.
Cooking Tip #2
Gather everything:
Getting everything out and ready to go before you start cooking will not only save you time but make cooking much easier and enjoyable. Invest in basic kitchen tools like a good-quality knife, cutting board, measuring cups and spoons, pots, and pans. Practice “mise en place,” which means having all your ingredients prepped and ready before you start cooking. Chop vegetables, measure spices, and organize everything you need. This makes the cooking process smoother and less stressful.
Cooking Tip #3
READ THE RECIPE!
Before you start cooking read the whole recipe. No, you’re not going to remember the whole thing but it gives you a bases of where to start, and prevent surprises. and if you read it you know where you left off, and not scrambling to re-read and now your smothered chicken is burning.

Cooking Tip #4
Taste as you go:
While cooking, taste your food at different stages to adjust the seasoning and flavors to your liking. This helps you understand the impact of various ingredients. And don’t be afraid to season, this took me forever to grasp. the only mistake you can really make with seasoning is with salt, so just be weary of that.

Cooking Tip #5
Practice knife skills:
Mastering basic knife skills will make your cooking experience smoother and more enjoyable. Learn how to safely hold a knife, chop, slice, and dice various ingredients. Fun fact: having a dull Knife is 100x more dangerous than a sharp knife in the kitchen. Why? because with a dull knife you’ll take more effort to cut something making the situation more prone to accidents. My favorite knife set is sold on amazon, head over to my shop page to snag them or click here.
Cooking Tip #6
Practice patience:
Cooking takes time, and some dishes may require a bit of patience. Allow food to cook properly, and don’t rush the process. Enjoy it, you’re gonna want to make sure it comes out right. And this bring us to the next tip that you can do while you patiently wait on that delicious food.
Cooking Tip #7
Clean as you go:
Keep your workspace tidy by cleaning up spills and putting away used utensils and ingredients as you cook. This minimizes the mess and makes cleanup more manageable. Trust me, you’ll thank yourself when you have minimal clean up after making a meal. This also gets rid of any unnecessary things, that could get confusing.
