Creamy Chicken Sausage and Kale Cavatappi. with Garlic, Lemon and parmesan.

Not going to lie, I had the most anxiety writing up this recipe. I was at home visiting for Christmas, so I knew it was going to be challenging to try and finish a post but I was still determined to post. Especially since I’ve been pretty good at actually posting a recipe for you all every week. But we can see I eventually got around to it. Anyway, i’m here with another great, simple and amazing recipe for dinner or lunch, Always your choice!

Fun fact about me my favorite garnish is parsley. If you buy it dried it doesn’t really have that strong of a flavor but fresh parsley on the other hand. Chefs kiss for real.

If you missed last weeks recipe. Well last last weeks recipe then click below. Trust me you won’t want to miss that one. Along with other delicious recipes I’ve tried. The Creamy Mexican Street Corn Pasta was one for the books for real. The simple ingredients and easy clean up really sold me to add it to my favorite dinner list.

With out further or do lets get into it…

Step one: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Wash and dry produce.

Step two: Half, peel, and finely chop onion. Remove any stems from kale and chop into bite size pieces. Peel and thinly slice garlic. Quarter lemon.

Step three: Once pasta cooks add cavatappi to pot. 9-11 minutes. Reserve 3/4 cup cooking pasta water.

Step four: Heat a drizzle of oil in a large pan over medium- high heat. Add meat and onion. Season with salt and pepper. Cook breaking up meat into bite size pieces. 3-5 minutes.

Step five: Stir in kale and garlic. Cook until sausage is cooked through and kale is wilted. 3-5 minutes.

Tip: Add kale in batches for a better mix.

Step six: reduce heat to medium. Stir in cream sauce base, sour cream, stock concentrate, pasta water, and a big squeeze of lemon juice. Cook stirring occasionally until thickened. 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper if necessary.

Step seven: Reduce heat to low. Stir in drained noodles, half the parmesan, and butter. and another squeeze of lemon.

Step eight: Divide pasta between bowls. Top with remaining parmesan and garnish with lemon wedges on the side.

Step nine: SERVE!!

A bowl of pasta never fails to satisfy. It’s quick, carby, which we love. Comforting, and a terrific weeknight or weekend go-to. When you add sweet Italian chicken sausage, nice and tender bites of garlicky kale, and Parmesan to the equation, you’ve reached another level of deliciousness entirely. Enjoy bite after bite of twisty cavatappi pasta cloaked in a lemony, buttery cream sauce! Oo so provoking 😉

Don’t forget to check in next week for another recipe and feel free to comment recipes I should try. My never ending Pinterest board obviously has more room to grow.

One thing I try to do when cooking is making content. All while I was learning how to cook I would read recipes. Don’t get me wrong recipes are great and I still use them but watching a video of someone cooking the meal, came easier for me. I could visualize and remember the steps better than reading them. Ok now I know my blog is literally reading the recipe but I also make tiktoks of my recipes I make. So someone that likes to visually see the food being cooked can have a fair shot.
