Homemade Pumkin Spice Latte

We’re starting off with the classic, A pumpkin spice latte, nothing says Fall more than the sweet warm smell of pumpkin with spices.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Espresso or strong coffee
  • 1/2 cup Milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 2 TBSP Pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pumpkin pie spice
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • Ground Cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  • Step One: In a saucepan, whisk together the milk, pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring frequently, until it’s hot but not boiling.
  • Step Two: Remove the mixture from the heat and whisk vigorously to create froth.
  • Step Three: Brew your espresso or strong coffee.
  • Step Four: Pour the brewed coffee into a mug and add the pumpkin spice milk mixture.
  • Step Five: Top with whipped cream (if desired) and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon.
  • Step Six: Give it a good stir and enjoy your homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte!

Butternut Squash with a twist

It’s squash time! So let’s squash this recipe and impress all of our friends! Yes, i’m sure you’ll like this recipe even if you don’t like squash. it brings a whole new level to comfort food.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium Butternut squash, peeled, seeded and cubed
  • 2 Apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 4 cups Vegetable broth
  • 1/2 tsp curry powder
  • Salt and Pepper

Instructions

Step One: In a large pot, sauté the chopped onion until it becomes translucent.

Step Two: Add the cubed butternut squash and chopped apples to the pot. Sauté for a few minutes to enhance the flavors.

Step Three: Pour in the vegetable broth and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover, and simmer until the squash and apples are tender (about 20-25 minutes).

Step Four: Use an immersion blender or a regular blender to puree the soup until smooth.

Step Five: Season with curry powder, salt, and pepper. Adjust the seasonings to your taste.

Step Six: Serve hot and garnish with a drizzle of cream or a sprinkle of fresh herbs if desired. Enjoy your Butternut Squash Soup with a Twist!

Apple Cider Donuts

If you don’t make or go get an apple cider donut during the fall, can you really say you did fall right? Apple cider donuts are on the same importance as a pumpkin spice latte, and deserves an honestly mention on this weeks fall recipes. They are fool proof and so easy to make so, Don’t forget to add this one to your saves.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup apple cider
  • Oil for frying (vegetable or canola oil)
  • Cinnamon sugar (1/2 cup granulated sugar + 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon) for coating

Instructions

  • Step One: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • Step Two: In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Step Three: Next, Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
  • Step Four: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the apple cider. Begin and end with the dry ingredients.

  • Step Six: Heat the oil in a deep frying pan or a fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cooking Step Seven: Drop spoonfuls of the donut batter into the hot oil and fry until they are golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Step Eight: Remove the donuts from the oil and drain them on paper towels briefly.
  • Step Nine: While they are still warm, roll the donuts in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat them evenly.
  • Step Ten: Let them cool slightly and enjoy your homemade Apple Cider Donuts!
